Badania przeprowadzone w celu określenia wpływu substratu wolnorozkładalnego XS (w postaci związków koloidalnych i zawiesinowych) na kinetykę wybranych procesów biochemicznych, zachodzących w komorach osadu czynnego (tj. denitryfikacja, anoksyczny/tlenowy pobór fosforanów i pobór tlenu), w oparciu o badania prowadzone w komunalnych oczyszczalniach ścieków „Wschód” w Gdańsku i „Dębogórze” w Gdyni.

The research carried out to determine the effect of the slowly decomposing substrate XS (in the form of colloidal and suspension compounds) on the kinetics of selected biochemical processes taking place in the activated sludge chambers (i.e. denitrification, anoxic/oxygen phosphate uptake and oxygen uptake), based on studies conducted in municipal wastewater treatment plants “Wschód” in Gdańsk and “Dębogórze” in Gdynia. The results of laboratory tests and field measurements in the above-mentioned wastewater treatment plants used to verify the mechanism of the XS compounds hydrolysis process in the ASM2d model and to develop a modified version of this model based on the so-called the concept of “two-stage” hydrolysis.
