Abstrakty

EN

The main factors influencing the international environment include the development of globalisation processes and a new asymmetric character of threats for the security and stability of countries. Asymmetric threats, international terrorism in particular, require conducting operations of global dimension. Such an approach is confirmed in active NATO and the European Union’s engagement in peace and stabilisation missions carried out in different parts of the world, i.e. in the Balkans, Afghanistan and in Africa. The armed forces’ participation in future operations was discussed in the paper. It was stressed that Poland should continue the policy of active engagement in peacekeeping and security issues both in regional and global dimensions as it is the imperative of security environment evolution.
