Inluence of Tooling System on Cutting Efficiency

The total cutting efficiency is ratio average value of the specific cutting powers to spindle drive power. can not affect the dynamics of the spindle, but he can choose suitable tooling system. So the user can tune dynamical properties of the whole spindle-tool holder - tool system because the tooling system has significant influence to the machining efficiency. In comparison of different tooling systems and their influence to the cutting power is presented. The general recommendations for choice of tooling system of high performance cutting are given in the paper.
