W artykule omówiono zagadnienia akustyki budowlanej związane z renowacją starych stropów i błędnym wykonaniem nowych warstw lekkiej podłogi na legarach na istniejącym stropie gęstożebrowym w starej kamienicy. Przedstawiono możliwości ograniczenia słyszalności dźwięków uderzeniowych przez zastosowanie dodatkowego dźwiękoizolacyjnego sufitu podwieszanego oraz wyniki pomiarów akustycznych izolacyjności od dźwięków powietrznych i uderzeniowych analizowanych konstrukcji.

This paper discusses the sound insulation issues linked with renovation of old floors and faulty construction of new floor layers on existing beam-and-block floor in historic building. In this context results of sound insulation measurements are presented, as well as possible ways are discussed to improve airborne and structureborne sound insulation with suspended ceilings.

W artykule przedstawiono klasyfikację posadzek ze względu na odporność na poślizg, na podstawie wartości oporu poślizgu oraz kąta akceptowalnego, określonego stopą obutą i bosą. Zaprezentowano wyniki badań wpływu impregnatu antypoślizgowego na opór poślizgu w warunkach suchych i mokrych. Zaproponowano także kryteria oceny posadzek w zakresie odporności na poślizg.

The paper presents the classification of floorings due to slip resistance, based on pendulum test value and acceptable angle, defined by shod foot and bare foot. The test results of the influence of non-slip impregnation on slip resistance in dry and wet conditions were presented. The criteria of floorings evaluation in the field of slip resistance were also proposed.

W pracy przedstawiono ciekawe rozwiązanie dekoracyjne posadzki z 1973 r. znajdującej się na parterze i pierwszym piętrze gmachu głównego Uniwersytetu Pedagogicznego im. Komisji Edukacji Narodowej w Krakowie. Posadzka ta jest ułożona z nieregularnych i różnorodnych kolorystycznie płyt surowca naturalnego, tzw. „marmurów” świętokrzyskich. Reprezentują one kilka odmian skał pochodzących z kamieniołomów z okolic Chęcin, przede wszystkim z Bolechowic (skała najczęściej wykorzystywana do celów dekoracyjnych), a także z Szewc i Łabędziowa, a być może też z Jaźwicy. Skały te tradycyjnie są nazywane marmurami. Pod względem petrograficznym nie są to jednak skały metamorficzne, lecz zwięzłe i masywne, częściowo przekrystalizowane, wapienie z liczną fauną. Są wieku paleozoicznego – środkowo- i górnodewońskie. Już od XVI w. były cennym surowcem zdobniczym. Omawiana posadzka ma walory edukacyjne i może mieć znaczenie geoturystyczne. Wybrane i opisane okazy skał, reprezentujących różne rodzaje litologiczne, mogą przyczynić się do utworzenia dydaktycznej ścieżki geoturystycznej, która będzie pomocna w zajęciach z przedmiotów związanych z naukami o Ziemi (np. geologia, paleontologia, surowce skalne).

The paper presents an interesting decorative flooring solution from 1973 on the ground and first floors of the main building of the Pedagogical University of Cracow, named after the Commission of National Education. This flooring is composed of irregular, variably coloured natural stone slabs: the so-called Holy Cross Mountains „marbles”. They represent several rock types from limestone quarries near Chęciny, including mainly Bolechowice, but also Szewce, Łabędziów and Jaźwica. These rocks are traditionally called marbles. However, in fact, petrographically, they are not metamorphic rocks, but strongly lithified and massive, partially crystallized limestones with numerous fossils. They are of Paleozoic age: Middle and Upper Devonian. The type of flooring composed of irregular panels of different sizes and colours is currently rarely used in interior design despite giving an aesthetically pleasing mosaic effect with an interesting pattern. The flooring made of assorted Holy Cross Mountains “marbles” can have a great educational value and great geotouristic significance. Selected and described rocks of different lithological types can be used to create a geotouristic educational path that will be helpful in teaching of subjects related to Earth sciences (e.g. geology, paleontology, rock materials).

The majority of industrial floorings are based on concrete, a simply to apply, versatile, durable and economic construction material. However concrete also has limitations; concrete is porous, is low in tensile and flexural strength and has limited chemical resistance and aesthetics. In almost all cases the concrete is covered with other materials to either protect the concrete or underlying soil or to protect materials coming into contact with the concrete. The covering materials range from cheap painting systems (to avoid dust), via higher performing tiles (hygienic) to highly decorative carpets or wood parquets. For industrial floorings the use of synthetic floor coverings is becoming more and more popular as it can cover a wide span of performances ranging from highly chemical resistant to highly decorative.

In this study, consumer preferences for flooring in terms of purchasing and use, were investigated, as well as consumer attitudes and the reasons for preferences for a particular product, and whether consumer behaviour varied according to gender, age, level of education, occupation and size of household. The study was based on a face-to-face interview of 1005 people throughout Turkey. The data obtained from the survey was analyzed using the statistical package SPSS 19.0 for Windows. According to the results of the study, it is possible to say that the customers preferred flooring which was easy to assemble, with good heat and sound insulation, resistant to physical and mechanical damage, both environmentally- and human-friendly and aesthetically pleasing. Manufacturers should therefore endeavour to meet these expectations by obtaining positive and negative feedback from users of flooring. In conclusion, it was determined that flooring preference, usage, expectations and consumer complaints may differ according to gender, age, level of education, income level, household size and occupation. This study fills an important gap regarding the investigation of consumer preferences for flooring in terms of purchasing and use in Turkey.

W artykule przedstawiono podstawowe wiadomości dotyczące technik obróbki mieszanki betonowej ułożonej jako posadzka. Dokładnie scharakteryzowano procesy: wibrowania, próżniowania oraz wibropróżniowania, przedstawiając technologię oraz maszyny używane w poszczególnych procesach. Przeanalizowano parametry wytrzymałościowe betonu po obróbce: wibrowaniem, próżniowaniem i wibropróżniowaniem. Na podstawie tego wykazano wibropróżniowanie jako najbardziej efektywną metodę zagęszczania mieszanki betonowej.

The article presents basic information on processing techniques of concrete mixture laid as a floor. Process of vibration, vacuum process and vibration vacuum process have been characterized in detail, presenting technology and machines used in respective processes. Strength parameters of concrete after treatment with each process have been analysed. According to the analysis, vibration vacuum process was proposed as the most effective method of concrete compaction.

This paper briefly reviews the current instruments used in assessing the fire performance of railway rolling stock and those to be used in new European regulatory tests. The latter are a result of major developments towards harmonizing Railway Vehicle fire performance testing and classifications, initially developed under European Public Procurement directives and latterly via the Technical Specification for Interoperability (TSI). In many senses the interoperability of railway vehicles between different EU countries makes harmonization a very desirable requirement. The test specifications to be utilized for this process are described in EN 45545. The formation of the European Union and the subsequent agreements that several products should be tested using harmonized testing methods throughout the EU make the EU market the developed world's biggest market for most constructed products. Each member state is currently able to continue to classify the products using the traditional (often national) methods alongside the new methods during a transition period.

Autor przekrojowo omawia rozwój metod badawczych przeznaczonych do badań właściwości palno-dymowych materiałów. Przedstawia przede wszystkim badania i aparaturę stosowaną w Wielkiej Brytanii, a także metody rozwinięte w projektach europejskich oraz testy uwzględnione w nowej normie europejskiej EN 45545:2013. Podkreśla korzystny wpływ ujednolicenia procedur badawczych i wymagań na rozwój europejskiego rynku kolejowego.
