Sea freight prices have risen sharply due to the COVID-19 crisis, global shortages of ships, declining competition in the field, and containers of contagious demand. In Israel, the value for customs purposes includes the transportation costs, as in Singapore and the majority of the states. On the contrary, the United States, Australia and New Zealand, have chosen to exclude transportation costs for customs value purposes. Therefore, the increase in transportation costs leads to the increase in the value of goods for customs purposes. This increase lead to an additional collection of customs duties in Israel. The Israeli Law allows the state to facilitate importers and waive the extra customs duties, and similar and other facilitations have been made in the past, for example, in a war or strike situation. Therefore, all that is required is the flexibility and activation of goodwill on the part of the State when interpreting the Law to relieve the importers from extra duties caused by the COVID-19 crisis.

Jednym z rozwiązań jest system eBooking BUS, który udostępnia firmom przewozowym możliwość elektronicznego powiadamiania Służby Celnej o planowanym przekroczeniu granicy przez autobusy. W artykule przedstawiono informacje dotyczącego tego usprawnienia, którego celem jest skrócenie czasu odprawy autokarów.

In recent years, public administration implementing more and more electronic services. The Customs Service is one of the leaders in introducing e-services. One solution is to eBooking BUS system, which provides transport companies for electronic notification of the Customs Service of the planned crossing of the border by bus. The article presents information on the improvements, the aim of which is to shorten the clearance time coaches.

W artykule przedstawiono wyniki badań autorów przeprowadzone w jednym z biur badań i rozwoju. Skoncentrowano się na realizacji wysyłek komponentów prototypowych spoza Unii Europejskiej. Na początku artykułu postawiono hipotezę, że istnieje potrzeba stworzenia instrukcji wysyłki komponentów dedykowanej dla inżynierów a nie specjalistów logistyki. W dalszej części próbuje się uzasadnić postawioną hipotezę posługując się wynikami studium przypadków. Wnioski oraz sugestie wypływające z przeprowadzonych analiz ukierunkowano na przyspieszenie procesu odbioru części przez zainteresowanego.

The article presents the results of research conducted in one of the office of research and development department. The analysis is focused on analysis of shipment procedure of prototype components outside the European Union. At the beginning of this article researchers proposed the hypothesis that there is a need to provide a user manual documentation dedicated for engineers requesting shipment. The hypothesis is covered by results of case study. Conclusions and recommendations shared based on the analysis are focused on accelerating the shipment process.

What is happening in Poland? This is a common question that concerns the Poles nowadays. As a young democratic state, Poland has to face many challenges not only related to the new political system but also Polish society. That is why, it is worth to examine the shift of the Poles’ value system that has been influenced by new trends from the West since 1989. It also affects a further development of the state and its society in international relations.

With increasing globalization, supply chains accordingly become more and more international in nature. They become more complex and so assume higher risks, for both businesses and governments. These risks are varied. Since the terrorist attacks of September 11,2001, many countries have implemented new rules for freight traffic flows. Now with these more secured flows, this paper examines the impact of one of these new security programs in Europe, the Authorised Economic Operator (AEO). By studying of the academic literature, the paper explains in particular the impact of the AEO custom certification on risk management, and on performance of 3rd party-logistics within the supply chain.
