EN

A rapid development of technology causes many changes in contemporary world, military matters including. It also influences the combat environment. Technological changes cause a significant growth of combat potential of contemporary armies equipped with modern armament. Contemporary battlefield is getting more lethal, the speed of battles and the area where they are waged are growing. Information has become a key factor in waging contemporary wars. Military experts estimate that future armed actions will not be possible without getting information advantage. Modern electronic systems multiply forces combat potential. The basic principle of contemporary combat actions is to use any technological advance. All these factors force the necessity to develop new concepts of waging battles to assure success in future computerised battlefield. Taking these changes in consideration while building modern armed forces, developing new training programmes should lay down main direction of changes to prepare the Polish Armed Forces to conduct effective actions on the 21st century battlefield.
