EN

The paper traces a collaboration of Polish scholars and local government formed to overcome the socialist and postsocialist legacies in social relations and spatial planning by creating an urbanscape and socialscape in the periphery of the Poznan metropolitan area. To forestall a spread of the “generic landscapes of consumption”, the initiative, undertaken in 2014, utilized the local heritage to create an alternative centrality to the metropolitan center and to design a civic center as the new centrality’s nucleus. The collaborative and interdisciplinary initiative was constructed by merging sociological-ethnographic and architectural methods and literature and document review, and conducted jointly with local officials and residents.

W artykule prześledzono współpracę polskich naukowców i samorządów lokalnych w celu przezwyciężenia socjalistycznej i postsocjalistycznej spuścizny w stosunkach społecznych i planowaniu przestrzennym poprzez stworzenie krajobrazu urbanistycznego i krajobrazu społecznego na peryferiach aglomeracji poznańskiej. Aby zapobiec rozprzestrzenianiu się „krajobrazów konsumpcji”, działanie podjęte w 2014 r. miało na celu wykorzystanie lokalnego dziedzictwa do stworzenia centralnej strefy gminy Tarnowo Podgórne i zaprojektowania centrum obywatelskiego jako nowego centrum przestrzenno-społecznego. Wspólna i interdyscyplinarna inicjatywa została stworzona poprzez połączenie metod socjologiczno-etnograficznych i architektonicznych oraz przeprowadzona wspólnie z lokalnymi urzędnikami i mieszkańcami.
