W pracy przedstawiono wyniki systematycznych badań właściwości mechanicznych oraz strukturalnych standardowego żeliwa z grafitem sferoidalnym gatunku 500 07, poddanego hartowaniu izotermicznemu przez różny czas w temperaturze T= 275, 325 i 350^oC. W wyniku badań ustalono, że materiał charakteryzuje się złożoną mikrostrukturą iglastą, charakterystyczną dla żeliwa ADI.

The results of mechanical and structural investigation of standard 500 07 grade austempered ductile iron are presented. The specimens were solution heat treated at the temperature 900^oC and then quenched to the temperature: 275, 325 and 350^oC, where they were hold for different time. It was concluded that the metal matrix has a very complicated needle like microstructure being typical for austempered ductile iron (ADI).
