Najnowszym wyzwaniem urbanistycznym, które stoi przed stolicą Danii Kopenhagą jest skierowanie strumienia aktywności publicznej na rozwój terenów poportowych. Kopenhaga jest w czołówce miast najskuteczniej przeobrażających nabrzeża, tak by stały się obszarem wielofunkcyjnym i tętniącym życiem miejskim. W centrum powstaje „ciąg kulturowy”, łączący i rozwijający tę współcześnie dominującą funkcję metropolii.

The latest challenge of urban development Denmark's capital Copenhagen is directing the flow of public activity in the post-harbours areas. Copenhagen is in the forefront of cities, of the most effective in the evolution of quays, which develop in the direction of combining function and intensification of urban life. In the center is formed 'a cultural stream', linking and developing the contemporary, dominant function of the metropolis.
