Abstrakty

EN

The two-layer borehole model consisting of borehole filled with brine and the surrounding rock was solved analytically by Czubek using diffusion approximation. Czubek and Wożnicka using the same approximation have solved a more realistic three-layer model of the borehole. The model included a middle layer consisting of mud-cake or steel tubing. The measurements performed at Zielona Góra calibration facility using 15 and 13 mm thick steel tubes showed discrepancies with calculation results. The use of exact Monte Carlo solution of the Boltzmann equation for migration length calculations is bringing measurements points near the "general calibration curve". This may open perspectives for cased borehole logging.
