The article describes drum screens in the waste paper pulping system. These types of devices are designed for processing rejects from stock cleaning system. In drum screens, the rejects are washed to separate all useful cellulose fibers. The new technology reduces the water and power consumption at the same time. The article describes drum screens from Voith (IntensaScreenDrum), Andritz (FibreWash drum FWD) and Kadant (from the Kadant Black Clawson Float Purger™ stock cleaning system).
