The aim of the studies was to mark daily variation of the radiation balance components in various weather conditions in the south of Poland. The structure of the radiation balance components is formed differently in various weather types and the intensity of the individual radiation components depends mainly on the cloudiness, fog and the air humidity. The value of the total radiation Qk4↓, which is the sum of the solar radiation consisting of the direct radiation and the distracted one, was of the main importance to the radiation balance. In all observed weather types, short wave radiation fluxes Qk↓ and Qk↑ were characterised by considerable daily variability in comparison to long wave fluxes QL↓ and QL↑.
