This article presents scientific considerations that focus on the identification and characterization of the basic determinants that affect the process of creating a modern and effective defense system against ballistic missile. According to the author, the primary determinant of the development of missile defense is a rapid development of new types of ballistic missiles, which extend a wide range of threats to other countries and regions worldwide. In this aspect, the author draws attention to the growing threat generated by ballistic missiles, which requires the United States and other NATO countries to find effective methods and ways of their destruction.
