The review summarizes the application of vegetation for evaluation of pollution level in different elements of environment. In the first part, the general information on classification of biological methods, especially bioindicators and biomonitors and the useful criteria for their selection are given. In the second part, the application of the most important plants (algea, mosses, lichens, grasses vegetable plants, trees and their parts) for evaluation of pollution degree of environment is listed in form of tables.
