Probing results after the rotors of three impulse stages with d₂/l₂ = 11.7 are summarised. Two of them are equipped with damping wires of the diameters of 3 and 6 mm situated at the height of 0.6 l₂ with other geometric parameters rernaining unchanged. The results of the study are presented in the form of diagrams picturing the distribution of c₂ velocity and outlet α₂ angle. The results are discussed along with the relation between the efficiency drop and the wire diameter as well as screening coefficient of the blade duet with the wire.
