Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie dwóch koncepcji wykorzystania wartości świadczeń i ochrony całego ekosystemu w rozwoju turystyki nadmorskiej.

EN

The research objective comprised a posteriori assessment of two areas with similar ecosystem sensitivity and service potential where tourism is being developed. Each area consists of a segment the sea coast and is situated in the vicinity of a river outlet. In both areas are swamps in shallow water and the open sea with beaches gradually changing into mobile dunes and further on dunes fixed by green plants and a forest, subsequently shifting into mainland. Each area differs in the scope of its ecosystem and preservation in the development concept. One is situated in Algarve, in Portugal, to the west of Raa Formosa. The second is in Poland, to the east of the Vistula River outlet. Significant differences were noted in the scope of involvement of the ecosystem, as compared with the size of the investment, proportional economic effects and subsequently, the impact on the ecosystem of the tourism offer, as utilized by holidaymakers.
