EN

Physical education has had rich traditions, long experience and achievements in the Polish Armed Forces. It includes all soldiers in spite of their age, rank, position and function. This education is an integral part of defence preparation and it is also the basis of soldiers combat readiness. It serves promoting and increasing health, creating pro-somatic attitudes, shaping physical and mental characteristics required in military service and in combat. A great attention is focused to various specific means of land forces soldiers physical education which is assumed to be applied in military education practice. The mentioned above matters are the subject of considerations of this article.
