Celem artykułu jest ocena dostępności portu lotniczego Rzeszów-Jasionka dla mieszkańców miasta Rzeszowa. Artykuł składa się z trzech części: charakterystyki portu lotniczego, charakterystyki dostępnych połączeń pomiędzy lotniskiem a centrum miasta, oceny dostępności portu lotniczego. Zastosowane metody badawcze to przegląd dostępnych opracowań statystycznych, pomiar bezpośredni oraz karta oceny.

Rzeszów-Jasionka International Airport is located 10 km to the north from the centre of Rzeszów. It is the communication airport in south-eastern tip of Poland, from which operate five airlines. Rzeszów airport records a steady increase in number of passengers. There are also being implemented investments, which improve performing of the airport. The greatest of these was the construction of the new passenger terminal building, in which there are combined two functions: departures and arrivals. The bandwidth of the new terminal might ultimately reach the level of 1,400 passengers per hour. Development of the airport as well as the growth in the number of passengers increases the demand for the direct communication between the airport and the city. From the centre of Rzeszów to the airport passengers can travel for example by using private car or taxi. On the north side of the new passenger terminal there is a monitored car park for both: cars and buses, where you can leave the vehicle during the journey. Access to the airport is provided by two national roads: No. 9 (Rzeszów-Warszawa) and No. 19 (Rzeszów-Lublin). There is also a bus communication provided by the Municipal Transport Company in Rzeszow and the Intercommunal Car Communication. The purpose of this article is to assess the accessibility of the Rzeszów-Jasionka" International Airport for the residents of the Rzeszów City. Article consist of three parts: presenting the characteristic of the airport, characteristic of the communication between the airport and the centre of the city, assessment of the accessibility of the airport. Applied research methods are: overview of the available statistical studies, direct measurement and evaluation cart.
