Artykuł omawia politykę bezpieczeństwa Szwecji, której terytorium lądowe oraz przestrzeń powietrzno-morska jest niezwykle istotna dla działań politycznomilitarnych prowadzonych przez NATO w regionie Morza Bałtyckiego. Szwecja przeszła długą drogę od polityki wojennej neutralności, aż do zmiany paradygmatu bezpieczeństwa po agresji Rosji na Ukrainę w lutym 2022 roku. Wojna na pełną skalę wywołała szeroką dyskusję społeczną, której efektem było wypracowanie wewnątrzpolitycznego konsensu na rzecz akcesji do NATO. Przystąpienie do Sojuszu Północnoatlantyckiego jest największym przeobrażeniem w polityce zagranicznej Szwecji od czasu członkostwa w Unii Europejskiej w 1995 roku i stanowi historyczną zmianę bałtyckiej architektury bezpieczeństwa.

The article discusses the security policy of Sweden, whose land territory and airspace is extremely important for the political and military activities carried out by NATO in the Baltic Sea region. Sweden has come a long way from a policy of wartime neutrality to a change in the security paradigm following Russia's aggression against Ukraine in February 2022. The full-scale war sparked a broad social discussion, which resulted in the development of an internal political consensus in favour of accession to NATO. Sweden's accession to the North Atlantic Alliance is the biggest transformation in Sweden's foreign policy since its membership in the European Union in 1995 and represents a historic change in the Baltic security architecture.
