EN

The easement issues have risen to great interest in recent years. They are of primary importance for a transmission utility, which, due to the fact that the transmission infrastructure is located on a privately-owned land, would like to establish a limited property rights for that land. On the other hand, however, they involve compensation claims that may be made by the owner of the property on which the transmission infrastructure is located. The article discusses the key notions related to the status of the transmission infrastructure, establishment of transmission easement and compensation to the landowner. It also touches upon the subject of indemnity for the use of land on a non-contract basis, removal of the transmission infrastructure and other related claims.
