Dziedzina badań zwana Zimną Fuzją (ZF) jest areną starć pomiędzy wysoko- kwalifikowanymi naukowcami. Spór z nią związany, trwający już od 24 lat, jest znamienny z powodu dwóch interwencji rządu amerykańskiego i częstych pogwałceń podstawowych zasad metodologii naukowej.
