In this paper, we examine the problems of simulating modeling of urban transport route network operation and development of an information system for automating the process of modeling and processing of simulation results with SIMUL8 software. In order to solve this problem, it is required to solve the following set of related tasks: formal description of the urban transport systems structure and parameters of its functioning, development of mathematical models of urban transport network performance, database structure and an algorithm for simulation model creation.
