Preliminary acoustic research of the TM3 two-stage turbine in which sound is generated by processes associated with a fluid flow is presented. The study is not exhaustive but represents an attempt at determination of the sources of noise. These phenomena are quite complicated due to many noise generating processes which take place simultaneously in such machinery.
