The author in the first chapter entitled romantically "Native Landscapes" explains a difficult way in Polish geopolitics, in the field of national landscapes, in particular towns. In the second part there is a deep analysis, conclusions and strategies according to towns and countrytowns in Poland, in history, in present, and in a probable future. The third part is a sample, which is a countrytown Łańcut in SE Poland. About this picturesque but deteriorated small town, the author with prof. K. Kuśnierz elaborated extensive studies and projects concerning restoration and recomposition in the Old Town within the historical location. The aim of that is an activation towards cultural tourism, according to the new circumstances, which appear as a result of political, social, and economic transformation. Finally, some conclusions are recapitulated, both theoretical and practical, including a broad social education in the field of conservation.
