Abstrakty
The results of the theoretical study of friction losses in the multilobe journal bearings applied in bearing systems of grinding spindle are presented in this paper. Friction losses were obtained from the solution of the basic equations of the hydrodynamic theory of lubrication. These equations, i.e. Reynold’s, energy, viscosity of lubricant and oil film geometry equations were solved numerically using finite differences method.
