The new generation 20CE (" 20th Century End") model stage s includes 20 impellers and vaneless diffusers. Five basic model stages with subvariants were developed and tested at periphery speed Mach number range 0.5 … 0.8. The maximum polytropic efficiency 0.83 ... 0.869 corresponds to the range of design flow rate coefficients (φ _des= 0.038 … 0. 065) etc. The ratio of' surge /design flow rates is c lose to 0.5 or less. The high design parameters of new compressors based on the stages were validated with shop tests.
