Type of road surface damage and its visual character is the most direct indicator of both the damage and their origins. Still, in many cases, technically advanced solutions for measuring various types of damage are not readily available by smaller road managers units or design offices teams. The paper presents the concept of tablet devices that can successfully fill this gap. Based on the results of a visual inventory method and the need to confront the results of visual assessment with the values of the damage caused fatigue was found that the parameters of a commercially available tablet devices can become the basis for a professional analysis support of pavement deterioration and road damage devices.
