EN

The changes observed in the age structure of the population as well as the evident growth in the mobility of the elderly result in significant changes in the age structure of road traffic participants, including vehicle drivers. The impact of these demographic changes on the values of the indicatorsthat characterize the road traffic safety in 2006-2015 has been evaluated. With this objective in view, the history of changes in the total number of accidents where vehicle drivers were accident perpetrators has been 119 examined, with the drivers having been divided into four age groups (18-24, 25-39, 40-59, 60+). The rate of these changes has also been assessed on the long-, medium-, and short-term basis. Moreover, the calculation results have been used to ascertain whether similar changes took place with decreasing total number of accidents in Poland in individual age groups of accident perpetrators. The accident hazard has been evaluated with using the following indicators: share of drivers of individual age groups in the total numbe of accident perpetrators as well as the relation between the number of accidents and the number of drivers and the total population of individual age groups, with the accident severity being also taken into account.

Obserwowane zmiany w strukturze wiekowej ludności, a także widoczny wzrost mobilności ludzi w starszym wieku, skutkują poważnymi zmianami w strukturze wiekowej uczestników ruchu drogowego, w tym kierowców. Dokonano oceny, jak powyższe zmiany demograficzne wpływają na wartości wskaźników opisujących stan bezpieczeństwa ruchu drogowego w latach 2006-2015. W tym celu rozważono przebieg zmian ogólnej liczby wypadków wśród kierujących jako sprawców wypadków oraz z ich podziałem na cztery grupy wiekowe (18-24, 25-39, 40-59, 60+). Dokonano również oceny tempa tych zmian, które rozważono w przedziale długo, średnio i krótkoterminowym. Wyniki obliczeń zostały użyte do ustalenia, czy wraz ze zmniejszaniem się ogólnej liczby wypadków w Polsce podobne zmiany zachodzą w poszczególnych grupach wiekowych sprawców wypadków. Zagrożenie wypadkowe zostało ocenione przy wykorzystaniu następujących wskaźników: udział kierujących z kilku grup wiekowych w liczbie sprawców wypadków, odniesienie liczby wypadków do liczby kierowców i liczby ludności w grupach wiekowych, a także ciężkości wypadków.
