EN

Glass application has become a new division of architectural theory opening up a abundance of possibilities for visual expression. In the cycle of three papers author presents a general outline of emerging trends in architectural transparency and various forms of glass façade application. In the third part of the cycle authar discusses influential trend of building's free-form deformation and resulting façade complexity. A briel review of double curved geometry representation methods is given including surface triangulation, cold- and hot bend glass techniques. Short cycle's summary is also provided suggesting that the technology and aesthetics blend, making the mutual influence indistinguishable.
