Abstrakty

Results of experimental investigations of a centrifugal vaned diffuser of a multistage pump, consisting in determination of local distributions of pressures and velocities of the fluid in selected control planes of the vaned diffuser by means of miniature pressure probes, are presented. The experimental results were compared with the theoretical investigation results obtained with a one-dimensional calculation method (l-D), based on empirical factors and with methods for analysing a 3-D flow developed at the Institute of Turbomachinery, Technical University of Łódź, i.e. a quasi-three-dimensional method (Q-3D) and an elliptic method (3D-E), which are based on flow models described by means of basic differential equations of fluid mechanic s and respective boundary conditions.
