Net Zero Water Buildings - challenges and solutions

Abstrakty
Budynki o zerowym rocznym zapotrzebowaniu na wodę netto są bardzo atrakcyjnym ekonomicznie i ekologicznie rozwiązaniem. Celem jest zbilansowanie masowe całkowitego zużycia wody w budynku, z sumą masy wody pozyskiwanej lokalnie z alternatywnych źródeł „oraz lokalnie zwracanej do środowiska. Realizacja tego celu wymaga odpowiedniej konfiguracji infrastruktury i instalacji budynkowych, umożliwiającej ograniczenie zapotrzebowanie na wodę, wykorzystanie alternatywnych źródeł wody, lokalne oczyszczanie ścieków oraz bezpiecznie dla środowiska lokalne zwracanie wody do jej podziemnych zasobów. Wyzwaniami w projektowaniu tego typu budynków są braki jednolitej definicji, brak jednolitych standardów i wytycznych, brak właściwych metod i narzędzi obliczeniowych oraz ograniczenia wynikające z regulacji prawnych niedostosowanych do innowacyjnych technologii.
The Net-Zero Water Buildings are economically and ecologically attractive. The aim is to balance the total water consumption and the sum of alternative water and returned water. Relevant configuration of building systems reduces the water demand, uses alternative water and treated wastewater, and returns water. Design challenges in the Net-Zero Water project include the lack of uniform definition, the lack of standards and guidelines, the lack of calculation methods and tools, and inappropriate regulations.
