W artykule omówiono obecnie obowiązujące przepisy homologacyjne o emisji zanieczyszczeń z samochodów ciężarowych oraz autobusów w Europie (według stanu na dzień 1.04.2009 r.). Przedstawiono przepisy Euro VI planowane do wprowadzenia w Unii Europejskiej. Omówiono system kontroli zgodności z wymaganiami w zakresie emisji zanieczyszczeń, wartości dopuszczalne oraz metody pomiarów. Przedstawiono tendencje rozwoju przepisów w Europie.

The paper gives and overview of currently binding law on official certification in the sphere of pollutants emissions from lorries and buses in Europe (as of 1 April 2009). The intended for introduction in the European Union EURO VI provisions have been presented. Moreover, the paper discusses compliance of the control system with requirements concernig pollutants emissions, permissible levels and measurement methods. Development directions in the area of legal provisions in Europe have been presented as well.
