In the paper, the authors focus on the problem of reliable performance of production processes. Reliability analyses of production systems involve considering many different factors and requirements. Therefore, based on the authors’ developed multidimensional definition of production process reliability, a brief literature review in reliability engineering of production systems is provided. Next, a short case study indicates the implementation possibilities of the developed approach. The work ends with a summary and directions for further research.
