Abstrakty
Aircraft built in non-classical configuration can reveal instability in some areas of the flight envelope, for some mass configuration or can be completely unstable. In order to achieve greater aerodynamic efficiency the aircrafts different from classical configuration have been constructed. One of these configurations is flying wings construction without sharply outlined fuselage body. In different configuration the fuselage body is composed in aerofoil body. The position of the centre of mass is one of the parameters that decide on the stability of each airplane. It determines the aircraft handling qualities and robustness of aircraft automatic flight control system. Due to non-conventional airframe configuration the flying wings are unstable. Furthermore, in large aircrafts occurs displacement of the centre of mass which additionally destabilizes the aircraft. In the paper the influence of the centre of gravity position on stability of the aircraft of nonclassical configuration has been presented. Furthermore, the structure of the automatic flight control system, and the results of the influence of the centre of mass position on system efficiency changes are also presented.
