Celem artykułu jest przedstawienie koncepcji łańcucha dostaw i łańcucha wartości w opiece zdrowotnej. W artykule zaprezentowano model łańcucha dostaw w opiece zdrowotnej USA identyfikując poszczególne jego podmioty oraz przepływy, jakie miedzy nimi zachodzą. Ponadto artykuł opisuje pojęcie wartości w opiece zdrowotnej oraz prezentuje model wartości dla organizacji świadczącej usługi medyczne.

The goal of the article is to present the concept of value and the supply chain in healthcare industry. The article describes supply chain management in healthcare in the United States and identifies its participants and flows that take place between them. In addition, the article defines concept of value in healthcare and describes a valuation model for organizations in the healthcare industry.
