Legal protection of industrial ownership in Poland
The bill “Law on Industrial Ownership” came into force last year as a next and modern legal act. The bill corresponds to contemporary demands of transforming social and economic system. It adopts the protection to international standards agreements that Poland signed in the 1990s and comprises in one legal act the norms from numerous bills based on identical assumptions relating to their character. The article presents the genesis of legal regulations in the area of industrial ownership law, earlier called inventiveness. There have been taken into consideration changes that were introduced into he law in 2002. A particular attention has been drawn to binding executive acts that as a whole constitute a compact protection system of industrial ownership in Poland. Also these regulations have been discussed that are essential for the protection of new developments, basing on which the Ministry of National Defence defends its intellectual goods.
