Artykuł przedstawia analizę zmiany równowagi popytowo-podażowej w globalnym transporcie lotniczym zapoczątkowanej przez procesy liberalizacji i reregulacji rynku lotniczego. Omawia się obydwa procesy w aspekcie ewolucji umów międzynarodowych o komunikacji lotniczej, dla których ramy prawne stanowi Konwencja Chicagowska, oraz w świetle zapisów zawartych w Ogólnym Porozumieniu Handlu Usługami pod auspicjami Światowej Organizacji Handlu. Prezentuje się wpływ powyższych procesów na wysokość realnych cen biletów, liczbę odprawianych podróżnych, oferowaną pracę przewozową oraz zyskowność linii lotniczych.

The article presents the analysis of change in the demand-supply equilibrium for air transport services as the result of sector liberalization and reregulation. It describes the processes as evolution of Air Service Agreements as well as discusses the rules applicable to airlines inhibited in the General Agreement on Trade in Services under auspicious of the World Trade Organization. It explains how these processes have changed the real ticket prices, number of passengers, supply of available seat-miles and profitability of air carriers.
