Artykuł prezentuje właściwości i zastosowanie lekkich kruszyw CERTYD, które są kruszywem sztucznym, popiołoporytowym, produkowanym według nowej technologii, wyróżniającej się innowacyjnym procesem spiekania popiołów powstałych w procesie spalania węgla kamiennego.
CERTYD is a durable, lightweight and high-strength material. It is an environmentally sound and safe material used in building, road building and horticulture. It is produced as a result of the sintering process in a uniquely designed rotary furnace. The technology of CERTYD manufacturing is also environmentally sound. The worldwide innovative technical solutions that we implement are patent-protected. On account of its technical parameters, CERTYD can compete with natural products. It can be used much more extensively than natural aggregates, its advantage being weight – it is much lighter than traditional aggregates. The application examples of CERTYD include: lightweight structural concrete and pervious concrete, thermal insulation, light floors, floors on the ground. It is the only aggregate on the market that can be used to make lightweight concrete with high durability. It is also possible to make high-strength concretes (over 60 MPa). The bulk density, depending on the product fraction, oscillates between 600 and 750 kg/m3. The CERTYD characteristics and properties comply with light-weight aggregate standards according to PN-EN 13055:2016-07 Lightweight aggregate.
