In this paper the stability analysis of flexible mechanisms is considered. The equations of motion of parametric vibration for dynamic stability are presented and as an example a slider-crank mechanism circulating at crank’s constant angular speed is considered. In order to obtain the critical running speeds the Fourier series method is used. The results show that the main resonance appears for the operating speed a little greater than double average value of the first natural frequency of the system.
