Flat geogrids used for the reinforcement of the ground construction ensures even distribution of stresses. The openwork structure enables mutual penetration of soil grains connected with stoping in the mesh geogrid. Manufacture of knitted openwork grids on flat warp-knitting machines provides opportunities to modify their structure and mechanical properties, particularly the shape and size of meshes and the tensile strength both in the longitudinal and transverse direction.
