PL

Teoria postępu oraz szkoła determinizmu technologicznego, podobnie jak koncepcja Jaya Davida Boltera, zakładają, że technologia redefiniuje rolę człowieka oraz kształtuje sposoby myślenia i postrzegania świata. Proces ten dokonuje się w sposób obiektywny, niezależny od woli człowieka, i dotyczy zarówno kwestii społecznych, jak i politycznych. Musi więc mieć wpływ na stan demokracji. Badania nad zależnością stanu demokracji od zdehumanizowanej komunikacji z generatywną sztuczną inteligencją są jeszcze w początkowym stadium, ale w dyskursie naukowym dominuje teza, że technologia ta może doprowadzić do uwiądu obecnego ustroju politycznego. W artykule zarysowano problematykę teorii postępu, rozumienia kognitywistyki jako nauki, z której wyrasta sztuczna inteligencja, oraz zaprezentowano kilka przykładów jej wpływu na politykę.

The theory of progress and the school of technological determinism, similarly to the concept of Jay David Bolter, assume that technology redefines the role of man and shapes the ways of thinking and perceiving the world. This process is objective, independent of our will, and concerns both social and political issues. For that reason, it must have an impact on the state of democracy. The research on the dependence of the state of democracy on dehumanized communication with generative artificial intelligence is in its infancy, however the scientific discourse today is dominated by the thesis that this technology may lead to the atrophy of current political system. The article outlines the theory of progress, understanding cognitive science as a science which artificial intelligence grows from, and presents several examples of its impact on politics.
