The fact that electronics has dominated the life of contemporary men does not have to be proven. It has become so common that sometimes we even forget about its existence. It seems that what we have nowadays has been obvious. We have also got used to the fact that we are an information society and knowledge society. However, we forget that everything started 150 years ago with Julius Plucker’s luminous tube. Nobody supposed at that time that it would be a breakthrough discovery which in the near future would revolutionize the man’s existential sphere and would reveal inaccessible earlier depth of man's environment, calling it electronics. This article deals with these problems and step by step introduces the reader into deeper and deeper conditions of progress resulting from this phenomenon which, in fact, has led the mankind to new existential era changing diametrically living conditions.
