PL

Przestrzeń współczesnego miasta w pewien sposób przestała być przestrzenią zamieszkiwania, rozumianą jako m.in. przestrzeń wymiany i kontaktów międzyludzkich. Współczesność na nowo zdefiniowała przestrzenie segregacji – od enklaw luksusu i biedy w centrum po przedmieścia zamykające swoich użytkowników w wygrodzonych, strzeżonych osiedlach. Spostrzeżenia dotyczące jakości zamieszkiwania w mieście „tu i teraz” stają się dla autorki punktem wyjścia do rozważań nad pożądanymi cechami przestrzeni zamieszkiwania w przyszłości oraz wpływem sposobu użytkowania na jej kształt.

Urban space of a contemporary city in some ways stopped to be the habitable space, defined between other notions as the space of interchange and social contact. The present redefined segregation zones – from luxury and poverty enclaves in the center of the city to suburbs with their inhabitants protected in gated communities. Some observations about the quality of living in the city „here and now” build the starting point for the search of the most desired features of the habitable space of the future and how the usage habits influence the form of such space.
