Room heights and floor areas in buildings with sloping ceilings

This paper discusses the requirements to be met when designing rooms with sloping ceilings. In the context of the requirements related to the calculation of the average room height - given in the technical conditions for buildings - the concept of the so-called basic space is introduced. Standardised principles for calculating the usable area of these rooms in accordance with the building design regulation were indicated.
