Abstrakty

Transformation of the US Armed Forces is a natural consequence of evolution of international order after the collapse of the Soviet Union. As a result of geopolitical, technological and social changes, the Americans make an attempt to modify their armed forces, both in technical and doctrinal-organizational aspect. The author analyzes transformation tendencies on the basis of official documents and juxtaposes them with the opinions. of experts (politicians and officers). The article further discusses the most important changes in all branches: land and air forces, and in the navy.
