The article has survey character and concerns agrotextiles used for the protection of orchards against adverse atmospheric agents i.e. falls of the hail. In the article a current condition of the knowledge concerning exploiting hail nets and their characteristics was presented. The textile techniques use production of the hail nets were also introduced.
