Abstrakty
In the past, UV-curing coatings were exclusively used in industrial processes. However, current developments aim at UV-curing floor coatings applied and cured on site. Up to now, this field of application has always been a case for room-temperature drying solvent or water based 1- and 2K systems. The benefits of UV-curing systems in this new market segment are significant: lower downtime, reduced labor costs and compliance with environmental regulations. The process will be discussed in detail for wood floor coatings but also examples for concrete, marble and resilient flooring. Solutions based on 100 % solids (Desmolux®) and waterborne (Bayhydrol® UV).
