EN

“Open conservation works” is a concept for popularizing heritage conservation through various initiatives that increase access to a monument for people during ongoing conservation work. The word “open” refers not only to the actual possibility of entering the site and observing the work “live.” The main intention of the project is to open up to the local community and tourists, sharing the space with specialists and expanding knowledge. The article presents examples of initiatives from three European historic cities, whose main focus was the local community. These activities, by creating a bond between the community and the monument, can influence the sense of cultural identity.

„Otwarte prace konserwatorskie” to koncept popularyzacji konserwacji dziedzictwa kulturowego poprzez różnorodne inicjatywy zwiększające dostęp do zabytku dla ludzi w trakcie trwających prac konserwatorskich. Słowo „otwarte” odnosi się nie tylko do rzeczywistego umożliwienia wejścia na teren budowy i obserwacji prac „na żywo”. Główną intencją projektu jest otworzenie się na społeczność lokalną i turystów, współdzielenie przestrzeni ze specjalistami i poszerzanie wiedzy. W artykule zaprezentowano przykładowe inicjatywy z trzech europejskich miast historycznych, których głównym obszarem oddziaływania była społeczność lokalna. Działania te, poprzez tworzenie więzi między społecznością a zabytkiem, mogą wpłynąć na poczucie tożsamości kulturowej.
