The onset of the 21st century in the manufacture of fasteners was definitely dominated by Taiwan. The area of the small island in the Pacific is comparable to that of the Polish Mazovian Voivodeship while its population is half the population of Poland. This small island has developed an industry which dominates the world of screws, rivets, washers and nuts.
