This article analyzes different attempts of electron microscope (and it’s elements) miniaturization presented in literature. It describes a new concept of miniaturization of a transmission electron microscope, created with use of silicon and glass microengineering techniques, integrated with newly developed high vacuum micropump. Technological problems are described, which must be overcome for MEMS electron microscope to be created.
